The Shed
About This Spot
Stepping into The Shed feels like a gentle pause from the rush of everyday life—a quiet haven tucked away just off Runcorn Road in Moore. This cozy café embraces a relaxed, unhurried rhythm, inviting you to settle in and soak up the calm. Whether you choose to nestle inside or enjoy the fresh air in one of the charming wooden booths scattered around the garden, there’s a peacefulness here that embraces both locals and visitors alike.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, shaped by attentive, familiar faces who greet you almost like old friends. It’s the kind of place where time softens, conversations linger, and the pace slows to match the steady ease of the surrounding countryside. The nearby horse fields and expanse of green add to the gentle charm, making it a natural spot to unwind, reflect, or meet up with friends.
Food and drink at The Shed feel thoughtfully simple, crafted to complement the tranquil mood rather than shout for attention. Imagine a caramel latte sipped slowly as you watch soft sunlight filter through the trees, a jam and cream scone shared between friends, or a slice of lemon drizzle cake that captures the light, comforting sweetness of the moment. Morning or afternoon, the menu gently accompanies your day, effortlessly blending with the seasonal spirit that shapes much of their thoughtful touches—from quiet celebrations to small outdoor details like the pumpkin patch in autumn.
With plenty of parking, dog-friendly welcomes, and even spots designed for those cycling through the area, The Shed is a quietly versatile destination. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, chat a little longer, and enjoy the simple pleasure of genuinely good company and good food in a setting that feels quietly special.

Always a great time here. Ample free parking (when others park more considerably, failing that there’s street level parking too). The staff are always friendly. Card payments only. Great walks nearby. Loads of green space and picnic tables to sit at. Next to some horse fields too, if that’s your thing. Very reasonable priced. I visit at least once a week.

Well I can definitely recommend this quaint little place, off the beaten track, especially if you're wanting somewhere quiet, relaxing, with good food, cakes, icecreams, dog friendly and picturesque. We were greeted as if we'd been there before, by Danielle the owner. There are 5 small wooden booths outside, and plenty of more seating areas in and around the building. We had 2 teas, 1 flat white coffee, 2 toasted teacake, and a piece of lemon drizzle cake, for £23, and we really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to returning, as ive got my eye on a toastie that took my eye

Love the shed , it’s so close to home for me and I have told my friends and family about this place and met up for a catch up here lots of times . I love how they theme it around seasons and celebrations too I love the little outdoor huts so peaceful and relaxing . We loved the little pumpkin patch and hot chocolate. The staff are lovely too which always makes the place too . Thank you everyone , I’m sure I’ll be back very soon .

Beautiful coffee and cake sat out in the cabin. Fantastic friendly service. Came back for a toasted sandwich, absolutely fantastic.

My cycling friends and I are always on the lookout for new cafe stops, so after my ride around Daresbury, I decided to pay an unplanned cafe stop at The Shed. A plus for cyclists is that the stone chipping driveway has some sort of inserts in it, making it easy to cycle on with a road bike. The cafe is very clean and tidy with very friendly service. There is plenty of seating inside and plenty of bench tables spread about in their large grassed area. You can sign up for a loyalty scheme to get a free drink after purchasing a number of drinks. As this wasn't a planned cafe stop, I had already eaten while cycling, so I just ordered a large americano (£3.20). A nice coffee that was brought to me at my table outside. The sandwiches, cakes, etc, looked very fresh. I will try them next time I visit. For the dog walkers, there are a couple of drinks bowls just by the entrance to the cafe. Just before I left, I visited the bathroom. The cleanest bathroom I have ever been to at a cafe. So, much so, I have attached a picture to the review. My only area for improvement would be paying a little more attention to clearing the outside tables. If you visit and sit outside, why not help the cafe and return you used cups, etc.

I ADORE The Shed. Danielle creates the most welcoming atmosphere, she is so kind and attentive. I happened to stumble upon this little gem and I make a weekly visit now on my days off. I recently joined the Book Club which takes place there through Wandering with Words and have met some lovely people as a result. It’s the place to be!
